Thanks a lot for playing!

The Void Between is an FMV style puzzle game that leads you through a labyrinth of mysterious challenges and puzzling obstacles. Can you help decipher the puzzles and solve the mysteries to uncover the truth behind this mysterious place, or will you descend deeper into the darkness of the Void?

If you enjoyed the demo you can Wishlist the game here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2678440/The_Void_Between/

We are currently working on The Void Between and excited to be expanding the story and adding more puzzles / different gameplay mechanics.  We will be releasing the full game on Steam soon.

Game play notes -

  • The game plays best when you refresh the browser and play in full screen.  (Chrome & Edge work best).
  • Pease let us know about any bugs and we will do our best to fix them in the next update :)
  • If you have any feedback we would love to hear! Thanks a lot!

The Void Between - Trailer

The Void Between is inspired by point and click puzzlers like Broken Sword. It was originally created as part of the Brackey's Game jam using GDevelop by two brother's Ben & Chris who are based in the north of England.

Some of the music & SFX used in the game are from YouTube's Audio Library inside their creator studio , they are royalty free & eligible for monetisation:

I need help by solving the piano puzzle. The pictures on walls represent notes on the piano, and the numbers show which order I should play them.

I can't enter the 3 digit code on a keybox, I need help.

Really enjoyed your use of fmv as a medium.

Massive fan of adventure games, old school FMV games, and anything made with GDevelop. Huge kudos on this.

Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed it! We love working with GDevlop too :) 🎮

We are still working on the game and will be adding more content, so there should be an update on its way soon.  Thanks a lot for playing!

Oh trying refeshing and playing in full screen! That usually helps!

Hey there! Just to let you know that we've just updated the game so that there is now on-screen controls when entering the numbers.  So hopefully this will work ok for you now.  :) Thanks a lot for playing!

That was a great little game. A great story with some great acting.

I think the only critique I could make is that during the running section, because of the need to focus on the gameplay mechanic, you miss out on the action that is unfolding on screen. A great game regardless.

Note for other people trying to play. I found that Google Chrome seemed to make gameplay really slow for me but trying with another browser seemed to fix that issue.

Horrah for a great acting comment *blush* Cheers James! Which browser worked for you? Will be good to know and add it to the bio :)

I found Microsoft Edge worked well for me.

A rather fun and cutesy little point and click adventure!

It was a bit short for my tastes, although I can understand not being able to create enough footage for a longer project. Managed to get both endings without any major bugs, although I noted that the opening painting puzzle lets you cycle through things a bit after completion. It doesn't effect anything, so I don't know if it's really worth fixing!

Thank you! There was loads more we would have loved to add to the game but we went right down the wire on getting finished in time for the Game Jam- Amazing that you had a near bug free experience!

Oh, I suppose now that you mention it, the cursor held onto the "highlight" mode a bit longer than it probably should have, but that was fairly minor to me (I imagine that would throw other people off *terribly*, so might be worth a fix later on!)

The Game is Great, but puzzles are hard, still sick

You can do it! :)
